• Called “first milk”
  • It is the first food a mammal gives to her offspring.
  • COLOSTRUMis the “immune milk” produced by all mammals for only the first few hours before and after birth. Supercharged with 97 immune factors and 87 growth factors, bovine Colostrum is nature’s “first food”. Its adaptogenic properties have been known to enhance rejuvenation and regeneration while strengthening the immune system, allowing your body to thrive under any circumstance.
  • Growth factors in colostrum are responsible for rebuilding and repairing cellular tissue. Growth factors are compounds whose primary effects are building, maintaining and repairing bone mass, muscle, nerves and cartilage and improving nutrient uptake. These growth factors in colostrum have also been shown to help increase lean muscle, help the body burn fat for fuel (stimulate fat metabolism assisting in weight loss) and assist in wound healing.
  • Colostrum supplies the body with hormonal growth factors as well as stimulating the endocrine system to keep producing hormones.-
  • Colostrum restores the body’s levels of IGF-1, which along with exercise and a nutritious diet, can result in better metabolization or the “burning” of fat; increased rate of growth of muscle mass and better strength and endurance leading to a leaner, healthier body and appearance.
  • Colostrum repairs intestinal tissue and dramatically improves digestive health, which leads to better absorption of nutrients due to better digestion, yielding improved organ function and increased energy levels.

  • According to Dr. Anthony Kleinsmth, Minutes 7-8 in his interview with Daniel Vitalis
  • In the 1700’s when big cities were hit by different ailments, the farm girls weren’t getting sick. Because their cows were exposed to the disease and the cow produced an anti-body to the disease. That cow produced colostrum and the farm girl drank the colostrum and built an antibody. She got the benefits of that bovine being exposed to the disease and building an anti-body to it.

  • IGF-1
  • IGF-1 is a protein and when it gets into the digestive system it’s broken down into amino acids
  • The metaphor used of a word being broken down into letters and losing its meaning, to describe when IGF-1 is being broken down in the stomach
    • “it’s almost like the igf-1 is a word and when it gets broken down in my stomach it’s broken down into letters and it’s no longer a word anymore.”
  • The colostrum has a means of protecting the IGF-1 by encasing it so it actually can make it through the digestive juices and actually be absorbed without being broken down.
  • This is why it is better, for most superfoods, herbs and supplements, to open up the capsule or take the powder straight into the mouth rather than swallowing the whole capsule or mixing the powder with water. That way the nutrients can absorb straight through the mucosal membrane into the bloodstream.
  • Many people now are paying a lot of money and even going through illegal means to get human growth hormone that they can inject into themselves when they can naturally increase their body’s production of HGH in the appropriate proportions and the right timing by adding various anabolic foods to their diet, such as colostrum, deer antler, goji berries, and raw egg yolks.

  • IGF-1 is an important growth hormone,
  • It plays an important role in childhood growth and continues to have anabolic effectsthrough adulthood.
  • IGF-1 then stimulates systemic body growth, and has growth-promoting effects on almost every cell in the body, especially skeletal muscle, cartilage, bone, liver, kidney, nerves, skin, hematopoietic cell, and lungs.
  • Deficiency of either growth hormone or IGF-1 therefore results in diminished stature. GH-deficient children are given recombinant GH to increase their size.
  • IGF-1 is produced throughout life. The highest rates of IGF-1 production occur during the pubertal growth spurt. The lowest levels occur in infancy and old age.
  • Our body’s demand for IGF-1 never decreases, but aging is accompanied by a loss of IGF-1. As our IGF-1 levels decrease, the physical exuberance and vitality that accompany youthfulness also recede.

  • The hgh, especially the synthetic kind is made up of two growth factors: IGF-1, and growth hormone.
  • Colostrum contains all the naturally-occuring growth factors, and the body will fully absorb it.
  • Igf-1 is believed to be even more anabolic than steroids

  • Most colostrum products on the market don’t contain most if any of the active compounds in the fresh colostrum. At the time of writing this book, there are only two products that are the closest to the fresh raw colostrum. Most other products are de-natured and have the fat removed (de-fatted), which is a good healthy fat.
  • Everybody can take colostrum as it is an immunomodulator, which means that similar to many of the herbs and superfoods in The Superman Diet, it will restore your immune system to balance whether you’re immune deficient (your immune system is too underactive) or whether you’re suffering from autoimmune (overactive immune system).
  • Contains essential glyconutrients (essential sugars) . You cannot make them from your own body, you have to bring them from the outside.

  • List the essential sugars.
  • Sugars: di-saccharides sucrose (which is in white table sugar) vs. other essential sugars…sugars are an enormous range of molecules

  • There are over 700 different consituents found in true colostrum
  • There isn’t a single system in the body that colostrum doesn’t have an impact on.
  • Sensitivities to colostrum are extremely rare and uncommon unlike sensitivities to other dairy products such as milk
  • Donald Lion from Cornell university grabbed all colostrum from the US and around the world (new Zealand) and tested it at Cornell. They concluded that most of the products they tested are not colostrum and “do not meet the scientific qualifications to be considered colostrum.”

  • While many studies have been performed using isolated nutrients, it is believed that nutrients are always more effective when used in their whole-food form, as found in nature, and when synergistically supported by the rich matrix of nutrients they are found within.

  • The mother cow’s body always over produces colostrum in case of emergency or other environmental difficulties. Living in a safe and comfortable home at the farm has removed all threat of this from occurring, thereby leaving the mother cow with excess colostrum.

  • This excess colostrum is then available for human consumption without taking from the calf’s share.

Bovine colostrum is considered to be more potent than human colostrum in many regards. Newborn human infants have more competent immune function due to placental transfer of antibodies and various proteins/peptides which do not occur in mammals with four chambered stomachs such as cows, goats, and sheep. Because of this, these factors are concentrated and retained in the bovine colostrum for feeding to the calf immediately after birth.
